We recently asked you to find out what drives and motivates you. Well, we hope you were able to pinpoint what it is and have started setting up goals and laying out plans. If you don’t quite know what steps to take then this post will be beneficial and hopefully get you on the way to surpassing your goals!
Vision boards are a great way for you to actually see your end goal. These boards are designed to express your thoughts and goals in a way that will be visually stimulating (and motivational!) for you.
The Base
The basis for your vision board can vary in size and shape depending on what fits your goals’ need. Common bases include construction paper, poster board and other paper like materials. Your base doesn’t have to stop there, you can use materials related to the goals you want to display; using a fun piece of printed fabric as a base if your end goal is fashion related. You can decorate the base with ribbons and other small materials before adding your inspiration to the mix.
Inspiration
A vision board is exactly what it sounds like; a board full of images relating to one end result. You can put whatever motivates you to succeed on your board, so that includes pictures, quotes, various materials, whatever will inspire you to get moving and stay on track. Going to craft stores and finding fun tacks and stickers also add to creating a board that will motivate you to take action!
Hang it up!
Once you’ve completed your board, hang it up! Place your board in a place that will easily be seen on a daily basis as you come and go. This keeps you constantly thinking about what you need to do to reach success.
