DID JESSICA JONES GO OUT AS HIGH AS IT ENTERED?

We finally got the final installment in not only the Jessica Jones series, but the Marvel-Netflix franchise as a whole. The final season of Jessica Jones had Jessica going up against a crazed serial killer and her sister Trish. It was a long, repetitive ride but we got there – eventually.

TO REPEAT OR NOT TO REPEAT?

There was a lot to love and hate about this final season. I loved that we finally got to see Jessica deal with being a superhero. She not only becomes recognized as a hero to the public but in her own eyes. What didn’t work so well was Trish’s storyline and drive and the many repeat episodes. I get it, it’s a style choice but for me it just dragged the entire show down. This is definitely a case where we could’ve had a 8-10 episode season and been fine.

Listen Now – Daredevil (Season 3)

I did like most of Malcolm’s story arc though it wasn’t without fault. Jeri’s arc on the other hand seemed repetitive and stale. If her full circle moment was her being alone they definitely accomplished that. Versus Malcolm who we saw go from nothing to kind of something then semi-nothing giving is series arc totality.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad season – just not the best. We did wrap things up for this particular show for the most part. What’s in store for this total universe’s characters still remain seen but at least we got an ending of some sort.
