Mellie is deeply enthralled in the bride and groom cliff case. Fitz asks her if she still wants to go visit the grave and she tells him to go without her.

Jake knocks Charlie out and takes him to an unidentified location to torture him. Before he can get to cutting Charlie tells him that he only wants one thing. Some takeaways…

– I kind of feel like the weekly cases have been leaving us with cliff hangers, never to be fully resolved. It doesn’t really look like we’re going to get closures or if we do, it’ll be episodes down the line.

– From the previews, we’re about to get thrown into some Olivia and Fitz drama and I don’t want it. I mean we could’ve went this entire first half without it and I would’ve been perfectly fine with it.

– I may be the only one but I am loving Jake this season. His constant reads on Olivia and his boldness with Daddy Pope, I’m interested to see how his character develops this season. I’m almost tempted to predict that this may be the season when Jake dies. He’s come pretty close in previous seasons but I just have this sinking feeling that this season may be the one when he actually dies.
