SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)

So it was a build up with a pretty surprising ending if I do say so myself. Be sure to read my predictions and thoughts in the episode “takeaways”. Read the recap below!

revenge emily vancamp josh bowman blood

We open up with a dream from Aiden, who is the one who found his father’s body after he committed suicide. He and Emily pay his mother a visit to try to figure out Pascal’s connection to his father. Charlotte has been giving Daniel the silent treatment after he used her to get Margeaux to turn on Jack. Daniel believes that Jack is helping Emily and that she should not associate with him.

Victoria and Pascal and an item now and Conrad believes Pascal owes him for getting him back connected with her. Pascal quickly puts him in his place telling him that his name has more weight when it comes to his business dealings than Conrad. Aiden doesn’t believe going to his mother was a good idea because she’s still upset about his father’s death and she doesn’t want to talk about it.

Jack has purchased a new home to live in with Margeaux and Carl, but he has doubts about her relationship with Daniel since he tried to split them up. Margeaux on the other hand, is at odds with her father once again because she found out that he’s been grooming her brother to take over the business when she had been working to show him that she’s fully capable of doing it. Nolan and Javier are officially going into to business to bring My Clone to the forefront, but Javier doesn’t agree with the contract and threatens to look elsewhere.

Victoria pays Mason Tredwell a visit in jail to find out what he knows about Emily. He won’t tell her anything unless she can guarantee that he’s a free man by the end of the month. Emily gets a chance to talk to Aiden’s mother a little bit during the middle of the night and she finds out about how he was the one who found his father. His mother tells her that she’s planning to marry a man with a broken 12-year-old heart.

Conrad meets with a business owner who was in negotiations to work with Pascal, telling him that Pascal’s son would be taking over the company so he should think about working with Grayson Media. Margeaux is upset with her father and takes it out on her desk. Daniel walks in and consoles her just as Jack walks in and sees. He questions her about it, but she tells him he’s being jealous (when she was just acting the same way a week ago).

Mason calls Emily and tells her about his visitor and tells her she has 24 hours to come through on the deal they made or he’d work with Victoria. Emily sends Stevie in with a deal that would get Mason out of jail in a few months, but Mason doesn’t think it’s sufficient and decides to go with Victoria.

Emily finds Aiden in the garage where he found his father’s body. She thinks that he should tell his mother that his sister is dead but he disagrees. While by the work table he notices engraving and swipes away dust that reveals a name (Oscar Chapman) that his father must have etched there before he died. Charlotte walks in on Jack and Nolan talking to Emily about Mason and asks them what’s going on. They quickly brush her off and Jack tells her he’ll call her later making her suspicious.

Daniel pays Pascal a visit about Margeaux and why he didn’t select her to take his place at his company. Pascal, on the other hand, thinks Daniel has more than professional feelings for Margeaux. Victoria goes to Conrad to get him to drop the charges against Mason so that he can get out of jail, but he refuses to telling her that as long as Emily is against her he has an ally. She tells him that she’s been digging around about information on the crash but he seems unfazed. Victoria gets a call informing her that Stevie paid Mason a visit meaning that she’s working with Emily.

Before leaving, Aiden tells his mother the truth about his sister; how she was kidnapped and used as ransom forcing his father to make the bomb that blew up the plane. He tells her that his sister is dead and she tells him that she never believed his father was a monster. Back at Emily’s place Aiden thanks her for supporting him with his mother and they reconnect both emotionally and physically. Javier sneaks out to see Charlotte and pretty much spills everything that he knows about Nolan and his relationship with Emily and Jack. He tells her that Nolan bends over backwards for Emily and that when he first arrived they had him help Jack. Charlotte tells him that her brother may be able to help him with his business adventure.

Mason receives a jar of deadly shaving cream and dies almost instantly after applying it to his face. Victoria pays Stevie a visit to pretty much tell her to watch her back and that Mason is dead while tempting her with alcohol.

Pascal pays Margeaux a visit and tells her that he will groom her to take over his company. While trying to get in contact with his son Conrad shows up and tells him that his deal fell through and he picked up the pieces. Margeaux shows up to celebrate with Daniel and they almost kiss, but decide to keep it professional.

Jack walks in on Stevie drinking and decides to move her into his house. He tells her that he still plans to help Emily with her plans and Stevie tells him that he may be in love with her after all. W

e see a van driving away from the prison and in the back of the van Mason wakes up alarmed and unaware of his surroundings. The door opens and it’s Nolan who tells him that Emily sent him shaving cream with a special herb in it that would make people think that he was dead so that they could get him out. He’s given money, a new identity and a place to live on an island.

Before he leaves Nolan asks him if he knows anything about Oscar Chapman. Nolan calls Emily and tells her that Mason has boarded the plane and relays the information about Oscar Chapman; that he faked his own death. Now Emily and Aiden plan to find him since he’s the only one who can possibly tell them how Pascal is connected to his father.

Some takeaways…

– So at first I was okay with the addition of Javier, but now that I see he’s going to be a problem I’m kind of not feeling him anymore. I also want them to do something with Charlotte’s character. She was angry the first half of the season and now she seems aloof and just about hangs on Daniel’s every word.

– Now that Jack maybe realizes his feeling for Emily… maybe

– I think we’re going to see the Emily, Jack and Aiden triangle again. Don’t know how I feel about that, it’s kind of unnecessary and I’m pretty sure the writer’s are going to somehow make it so that Emily and Jack are together. Just look at Margeaux’s storyline and her now (what I believe is random) connection with Daniel. Yes they may have been friends since childhood, but I don’t see any type of chemistry between them and are we forgetting about when she practically threw herself on him when she first arrived and he shut her down… I just think this is all in the plot to get Jack and Emily together.

– Seeing as we’re probably going to get another season I don’t think Victoria is going to find out who Emily really is. So far we’ve seen every attempt that she makes to getting close to the truth is compromised. If they do reveal Emily’s secret to her it’ll probably be the season finale, but I don’t think it’s likely which makes all of this talk about her getting closer to the truth irrelevant.

Were you shocked about Mason Tredwell’s outcome? Do you think Victoria will find out Emily’s secret? Let me know below!
