So last night’s episode wasn’t that action packed, but we do learn a few things and we wrap up some major and minor storylines. Check out the recap below!

revenge emily vancamp josh bowman struggle

We open the show with Emily blacked out on her porch stabbing the infamous carving of the infinity symbol her father carved on the porch railing years ago. Stevie stops by the Stowaway to try to talk to Jack about her being his mother, showing him pictures of her holding him when he was a baby. She reveals she left a week after he was born, but that his father sent her mementos throughout the years. He doesn’t think that’s enough and believes they should continue to keep their lives separate.

Emily goes to Nolan about her recent blackout and Nolan thinks she should get out while she can, even suggest they leave the Hamptons. Emily tells him that she’s going to go through with her plans and kill all of the Graysons.

Patrick shows up at a bar where some of Jimmy’s friends are holding a memorial for him. He shouts out that Jimmy isn’t who they think he is and that he’s really a rapist. The men beat him up, he gets thrown in jail and Victoria has to bail him out.

Nolan tracks down Aiden and tells him about Emily’s plans to kill the Graysons, telling him he needs to stop her because this won’t end well for her. Suspicious of Emily’s whereabouts, and believing she’s scheming with his father, Daniel hires someone to keep tabs on Emily.

Emily breaks into Conrad’s place at the Southfork Inn prepared to strangle him to death. She hides under the bed but then she hears someone entering the room. She wakes up tied to a pole and comes face to face with Aiden. He uses Takeda’s water drowning tactic to try to reach Emily’s subconscious.

Jack goes to Stevie’s hotel to confront her about helping him get the house he had been outbid on. He tells her he doesn’t want her help and that she’s probably like the rest of the Graysons and she kicks him out. Victoria goes to an art lovers meeting at Nolan’s house to pretty much blame him for the way that Patrick has been acting. Nolan goes to Patrick and kind of antagonizes him about Victoria. He then tells him about a booth that he got for him at an art exhibit and leaves it up to Patrick to make the next move.

During the drowning session, Aiden urges Emily to figure out where her anger is directed at because she’s currently misdirecting it onto Aiden and Nolan. While in the water she comes to the conclusion that her father is the one to blame for everything. She tells him about what happened one night when she walked in on Victoria and her father sleeping together. She ran out of the house and David followed her. She told him that she wanted Victoria to leave, that Victoria hated her and that she would never be her mother. David tells her that she will have to accept Victoria because they were going to be a family. She tells Aiden that her father got his wish because now she’s a Grayson.

At the art exhibit, Victoria tries to shut down Stevie’s plans to level Grayson Manor. Stevie tells her she’ll fight her in court. Victoria goes to Patrick and tells him that she made Stevie the monster she is and she plans to bring her back down. Patrick tells her that he needs to know exactly what she plans to do.

After realizing her anger was the cause of her blackouts, Aiden tells her that her father was only guilty of falling in love with the wrong woman. Emily tells him that she still plans to clear her father’s name. She thanks him for essentially saving her and they kiss.

Patrick gets approached by a well known and respected artist who loves his work and asks him to come be his apprentice in Tuscon. Patrick leaves Victoria a voice message telling her his decision to leave. We then find out that Nolan and Victoria actually worked together to get Patrick out of the Hamptons.

Jack pays Emily a visit to ask about if she’d been honest with her mother when she came to the Hamptons. She tells him that she hadn’t been, but wish she had. He tells her that Stevie is his mother and she tells him she should give her a chance, but be careful.

Jack goes to Stevie and gives her a chance to tell her side of the story. She tells him that she’s a recovering alcoholic and has been sober for twenty years. She found out she was pregnant while in rehab and left him because she wanted to protect him. They both decide to work on building they’re relationship.

Jack calls Emily and tells her what happened with Stevie. Nolan stops by Emily’s beach house as she’s uncovering her furniture and gives her a new high tech Infinity Box that can only be opened with her fingerprint. Nolan suggests they have a martini to celebrate her overcoming her blackouts and getting back on track and the word martini triggers something. She goes through one of her father’s journals and finds an entry that talks about a lawyer who paid him a visit wanting to represent him. He said he could smell the gin on her breath and that she’d been disbarred for being drunk. She puts two and two together and comes to the conclusion that Stevie was the one who visited her father and she plans to find out why.

Meanwhile, Daniel meets with his private investigator who tells him about Emily breaking into his father’s place but being snatched by another person. He loses them but tracks the license plate to a warehouse where he gets a picture of Aiden and Emily kissing. Daniel smiles and obviously plans to use this against Emily.

Some takeaways…

– Charlotte is working with her father at the magazine to keep tabs on him. Not really sure where this is going, but I would like to see Charlotte doing more than constantly trying to bring down someone in her family.

– Like I predicted last week, Patrick battled some demons surrounding his father’s death. Also as I suspected, they pretty much had no further use for Patrick hence his leaving for Tuscan… yep, totally saw this coming.

– I’m beyond glad that Emily has her complete memory back and that the blackouts are over because I just do not like weak Emily. I said this earlier after she was shot and I’m saying it again, I don’t like weak Emily. I tune in to see her conniving, planning and kicking some major butt.

– I don’t want to be a downer, but I kind of feel like this season or maybe next season will be the last. I feel like they’re kind of running out of storylines and angles and it’s just time for Emily to get her revenge.

– From next week’s previews it looks like Daniel is going to use the picture of Aiden and Emily kissing against her and try to strong arm a divorce from her. I’m actually really looking forward to next week’s episode!
