SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)

Give me one second, I’m dancing a little bit as I type this… Ok, ok let me compose myself. I swear, last night’s episode was not playing any games. Just as my heartbeat settled and I could breath normally they’d take me into another frenzy. Let’s just get into it because the ending is what I’m most excited about!

arrow stephen amell blind spot recap

We start off with Sebastian Blood paying his mother a visit at the mental institution he put her in after learning that Laurel visited her. He gets her to tell him what they talked about as she asks for his forgiveness. He tells her she’s forgiven and leaves, or so we think, because as his mother is laying down to pray the stone masked guy appears (we know that Blood typically wears this mask when administering the serum.

Oliver and company are still tracking down local criminals to get more information on the man in the stone mask. Hitting a dead end, they reevaluate their strategy. Laurel is contacted by the institution about her death and turns to Arrow for help. Hesitant about Laurel’s accusations, Oliver tells Felicity and Diggle that in order to claim that Blood is the one behind the new serum they needed to start from the beginning with his father’s murder.

Felicity discovers that the file on Sebastian’s father’s case is sealed and over 27 years old so it’s not in a digital file. It’s locked in a storage room and city archives, so Arrow goes to get Laurel and they break in. They initially have seven minutes to get in and out before the security cameras reboot, but they reboot sooner and they’ve been spotted. They have seconds to escape before the police arrive, but Laurel and Oliver insist on finding the file. Laurel finds it at the last second and barely escape only to discover that the file is missing.

Felicity goes back through the security footage to see who may have taken the files but a portion of the footage is missing. Oliver decides to take thing into his own hands and pays Sebastian a visit. He tries to bait him with a story about being worried about Laurel and Sebastian tells him he would take care of it.

Roy, with no one to talk to about his new found strength, turns to Sin not wanting to tell Thea about it until he figured out what exactly happened to him. He decides he doesn’t need the “vigilante” to go after the bad guys anymore so teams up with Sin. Their first target is Slasher, a prostitute killer, and they bait him by using Sin. They get him, but Roy nearly kills him before Sin pulls him away and insist that they call the police.

We find out that Slade is the one who stole the file and he takes his anger out on Sebastian demanding that he takes care of Laurel before his plans are ruined. Sebastian calls his leak on the police force and they raid Laurel’s apartment, arresting her for possession of drugs that weren’t prescribed to her. Officer Lance comes in to talk to Laurel and she tells him that she believes Sebastian set her up. Of course she looks crazy and he tells her that she’s battling an addiction. He walks out and Oliver tells him that he’ll take her home.

Roy and Sin are at the hospital with the guy Roy brutally beat. After hearing all of the man’s life threatening injuries Sin tells Roy that he needs to get help. Thea shows up, thanks to Sin, and after hearing that Roy was responsible for the man’s injuries tells him that something is going on and that he can talk to her. Roy gets upset and leaves only to have a breakdown around the corner from where Thea and Sin were.

Oliver is at Laurel’s apartment helping her clean and he tries talking to her, telling her that this person that she is not the Laurel he knows. He tells her that she wants everyone to think that she’s okay, but he knows her and she’s not.  She asks for some water and as he returns he’s knocked out by someone and the stone mask guy and his accomplices kidnap Laurel.

Oliver comes to and sees a message on the wall for Arrow to meet at a location to get Laurel. He arrives, in full gear of course, and goes head to head with the “stone mask guy”. After an okay fight scene as their both going for the respective weapons Laurel grabs the gun and fires several shots into the masked guy. She asks Arrow to unmask him and it’s the officer (Daley) who was the leak working with Sebastian.

The charges are dropped since Laurel killed him in self defense, but everything that Sebastian had done was tied to Daley. Sebastian goes to Slade to tell him that everything has been taken care of and Daley sacrificed himself. Slade goes all crazy and kills the four men with Sebastian telling him that he’ll be the fifth if he messes up again.

Oliver learns from Thea about Roy beating up the prostitute killer. He pays him a visit as the Arrow and tells him that he knows what he’s going through and to let him help him control it. The moment I’ve been waiting for all season happens, Roy accepts!!

Some takeaways…

– We got some flashback scenes, of course, and we learn that Oliver and Sara lost contact with Slade. Sara also tells Ivo that she’s no longer working with him, and Oliver overhears solidifying where her loyalties lie.

– Whenever Slade and Oliver face off it’s going to be amazing. Can we just talk about how he killed four people in like five seconds… Yea, that’s going to be an intense match.

– Laurel was pretty much telling the truth the entire episode, but of course now she looks like a crazy person. I so wanted Oliver to believe her, but he confirmed that she’s his blind spot. With some of the rumors I’ve read about Laurel possibly turning into Black Canary, I’m pretty sure this will play a big role into why she heads in that direction.

– Roy & Oliver unite for real real! I’m so excited about this. I’ve said since he’s been injected that he should go to Arrow for help. All I have to say is the future team ups with them are going to be amazing. My heart is already pumping with anticipation. I’m not sure if Oliver will reveal who he really is to Roy, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to come to that point and I can’t wait for that moment either.
