In keeping with the website goals for 2014, I have a new review on an inexpensive nail polish. I’m a fan of Sally Hansen nail products, I’ve been familiar with and purchased them since I knew what polishing my nails were.

sally hansen nail polish salon manicureIf your routine is similar to mine, then you usually end up using three types of polishes: a base coat, the actual nail color and then a top coat. Well get ready to cut your routine time way down. Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure nail polish is your go-to for a quick mani. Check out my review below!

This polish claims to complete seven steps in one:

  • Base Coat
  • Strengthener
  • Growth Treatment
  • Color
  • Top Coat
  • Chip-Resistant
  • Gel Shine
  • Also features patented Vita Care technology for advanced 10 day wear

What it does actually does… I did use a base coat with this polish because I have a fear of dark polishes staining my nail bed. I wouldn’t say that the nail polish chipped, but it did begin to wear off starting at the tips of my nail. Did I get 10 days wear out of it… eh, if you disregard that bit about the wear at the tips, but I changed it after five days. I loved the color and how I got a great shine without having to add a top coat. I’m not sure how effective it is as a growth treatment and strengthener or how long you’d have to wear it to see those results. I currently have pretty strong nails that grow fairly quickly, so I didn’t experience weak or easily broken nails. The best part about this polish is the brush. It’s a wide, sturdy brush that makes application quick and streak free. I applied about two coats.

Would I use this again? Of course! I actually plan to purchase these in a few more colors; I’ve worn ‘Pat on the Black’ (love, love, love) and ‘Red My Lips’. I’ve yet to wear ‘Jaded’. Do you need a base and top coat… not really, but I will personally always use a base coat. If you’re looking for a quick, streak free, at home manicure this is definitely one to add to your list. You can find this polish in your local drugstore or wherever Sally Hansen products are carried (which is just about everywhere). It retails for around $8 per bottle.
