Before I even get into the actual review for Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream for natural hair, I have to give you the back story. I was an avid Cantu user pre natural hair and throughout my transition. Once I went 100% natural I turned to more natural products and products targeted to my kinks. I stopped using the Cantu leave in conditioning cream, because after going natural it just didn’t work on my hair the same anymore.

After hearing about Cantu’s new natural haircare product line, I couldn’t wait to get the products in my hands. No lie, it was beyond difficult to find their natural haircare products in stores near me. I finally found it in a Target all the way out in the south suburbs, ( I live on the north side of the city mind you; like complete opposite side of where I found it) the last little jar and I swooped it up with the quickness and ran (literally) to check out so I could get it in my hair (it was that serious).

So now that I got all of that out of the way, let’s get into the reason why you’re here in the first place!

The Coconut Curling Cream claims to define, condition, and add manageability to your curls, leaving them soft, shiny, and deeply moisturized. Made with 100% Pure Shea Butter and formulated without chemicals or harsh ingredients, Cantu for Natural Hair restores your real, authentic beauty.

I have officially found my HG daily moisturizer, like no joke. It’s been a cold winter, and my hair went through it and not in a good way. I used this product at night to braid my hair and then fluffed it out in to wear as a braidout the next day. My hair feels soft, all day; looks moisturized and not dull, all day. I did think that maybe it was a fluke but almost a month later and my hair has done a 360. I’m not sure how this will work with my hair during the summer (which I plan to test out) but for now my hair is loving it! I wasn’t able to get any of the other products in this line due to the store’s limited inventory, but I will definitely be repurchasing this and trying the other products in this particular line whenever I find them in stock. I must also add that while I am heavy handed, there is still a lot of product left. The jar was less than $6, so it’s definitely worth every penny.

I recommend the Coconut Curling Cream for those looking for something that will leave their hair soft, moisturized and healthy regardless of your budget.
