After only three episodes, FOX put New Girl on hiatus for baseball. FOX knew that fans would wait for it to come back—if only we could play hard to get! We can now rest at ease, because New Girl is finally back! So far, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and the guys searched for a rebound, got her stuff back from her kryptonite ex-boyfriend and went to a wedding. With 21 more episodes in the simply adorkable season, what laugh-out-loud line will Zooey deliver next? Will the brotherly love remain platonic? We all know one of the boys are bound to fall in love with her (we already have!) and our guess is Nick (Jake Johnson). Let’s catch up with New Girl’s quotable moments before the list gets longer!


 


Unleashing a stripper alter-ego:


Cece: What’s your stripper name?

Jess: Uh, Rebecca Johnson.

Cece: Your stripper name is Rebecca Johnson?

Jess: Boobies Johnson. Two Boobs Johnson.


When singing to herself:


Jess: Who’s that girl? It’s Jess.

Nick: Did you just make up a theme song for yourself?


The “Coach” takes Girl Talk 101 with Jess:


Jess: Yeah, shopping’s fun. The other day I bought a pair of jeggings, they look like jeans, but they’re leggings.


On liquid courage:


Jess: Pink wine makes me slutty.


Cute Guy Alert:


Jess: Cute Guy Alert! Wah-wah-waa


Getting ready for a date:


Cece: You gotta take off those overalls.

Jess: I was going for like a hot farmer’s daughter kind of thing, like, oh, I’m gonna go milk my cows.

Jess: $550 for the TV? Seems a little steep. I’m gonna write down a figure, and this is as high as I’ll go.

Pawnshop owner: You drew a smiley face.


When the roommates see Jess’ ex, Spencer, for the first time:


Nick: That’s the Wizard? He wears a scrunchy.


To make Nick’s ex Caroline (or is it Caroleen?  Carolui? Oh, Carol?) jealous: 


Jess: Well, I’m Nicholas’ girlfriend…and we just started dating, so we’re still in the honeymoon phase. I barely sleep. So much doing it.

Nick: So much doing it.

Jess: He’s so soft, like a towel.


When Caroline reveals that she has a new boyfriend:


Jess: Yeah! He has me…and our baby! And our other baby!


Full-disclosure before attending wedding:


Jess: So when I do the chicken dance I do it a little differently. Instead of doing claps, I like to do a peck. It’s more realistic.


How to get a date:


Jess: You know what, you guys were totally right.  I talked in short sentences. I didn’t sing. I laughed. I smiled. I said I needed rebound sex and it totally worked. He asked me out. Dinner…with food. Woo! Woo!
