You may have noticed while fixing your hair this morning that it felt (and looked) extremely dry. The harsh winter weather may have had a hand in making your locks appear dull, especially if you live in areas that are affected by extremely cold weather.

One reason it’s hard to keep your locks moisturized during the cold months is because of the constant combination of extreme cold and high heat (you don’t want to freeze indoors too!) which puts the hair through a lot of stress. Once you moisturize your hair you go out into the cold weather and all of your coveted moisture is pulled from your hair by the dry air that’s screaming for a little moisture as well.

It becomes a loosing battle, and by spring it’s time for a major intervention. Don’t fret, we’ve got the perfect solution for mending your strands back to luscious glory. Honey and olive oil are a natural humectant which means they attract and hold on to water molecules (moisture!). Here’s our super easy, deep treatment that’s sure to quench your strands’ thirst!

Honey & Olive Oil Deep Treat

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup olive oil

with conditioner (optional)

1 tbs honey

1 tbs olive oil

There’s only two ways to go about creating this mix. Mix the honey and olive oil and apply from root to tip or, if that’s too messy for your liking, combine with your normal conditioner with same application. Cover hair in plastic cap or bag and leave in for 20 min; sitting under a dryer is optional.

Rinse and follow your normal shampoo/ conditioner routine. The amount of ingredients used can vary due to length of hair.
