THE SOCIETY IS MY NEW YA OBSESSION!
The Society recently dropped on Netflix and has quickly become one of my fave YA series. The genre crossing show features a large cast of teens who find themselves in what looks like their home town alone without any adults or children. I had a lot to discuss in regards to this show and I feel like I barely scratched the surface.
With such an enormous cast it’s not hard to find a fave or two to root for throughout the show. I absolutely adored Sam and Grizz, so much so that I literally squeal while discussing their relationship. They’re just too cute and I will definitely be rooting for them if we get a season two.
THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT?
There are some other notable standouts throughout the show. I’m very much interested in seeing how things work out with Becca and her new baby. We also need to find out what awaits Allie and Will now that the insane trio (Campbell, Harry & Lexie) are in charge. I mean, technically it’s really Campbell in charge but who’s keeping notice.

If Netflix renews The Society for a season two then I want to see the show dig more into the sci-fi and thriller sub-genres. I’m also not opposed to doing a purge and getting rid of some of these characters. Again, there are too many people who the writers & showrunners want us to focus on.
THE VERDICT?
Overall, I’m excited for where we could go with this show. There’s definitely some solid foundation there. I’ll definitely be watching if we get a season two. What did you think of The Society? Let me know below and on Instagram!
