And awards season rolls on! Actors showed up and out (of course) for the 21st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA. It was pretty easy for me to pick my faves but oh were the Honorable Mentions close. See who my Top Picks and Honorable Mentions are below!
Top Picks!
Lupita Nyong’o murdered the carpet in Elie Saab hands down! I had my personal top pick before I saw her and once I did it was an immediate yes. Every single thing about this look works– the print, the shape, the hair, the makeup. This is the Lupita I love on the red carpet.
Emmy Rossum looked gorgeous in Armani and I usually don’t like the strapless gowns. She kept the accessories minimal with a beautiful diamond necklace. I love the color and the flow of the sheer skirt.
Uzo Aduba looked beautiful in Angel Sanchez. I love the color and the textures of this dress. It’s just a really pretty but edgy dress and she looks amazing in it.
There were a few white dresses on the carpet but Reese Witherspoon in Armani was my favorite. I love the one shoulder, the pulled back hair and the classic red lip.
Rosamund Pike switched it up and went for a looser silhouette in Christian Dior. I am a fan of the tent shape dress and I actually really love this.
Honorable Mentions
Julia Roberts stepped out in a Givenchy jumpsuit. This look is sleek, classic and beautiful.
Maggie Gyllenhaal was another one in white. I really like the simplicity of this Thakoon dress paired with that chic clutch and a bold lip.
Julianne Moore wore a beautifully embellished Givenchy gown. I love this color on her with her hair. I also love that she kept the accessories minimal.
Sarah Hyland has really been serving it lately on the red carpet. She wore a gorgeous embellished Vera Wang dress. Sometimes it’s okay to go for the dress with moderate embellishments and this dress is definitely beautiful.
Rashida Jones is a bit of a wild card. Of all of the prints on the carpet her Emanuel Ungaro dress was definitely my favorite. I love the pop of color, the red lip and her hair.
