Emily is pissed, it’s been five days and she hasn’t been able to get to her father because Victoria hasn’t left his side. Nolan wants them to wait and figure out what game Victoria is trying to play and questions if maybe Conrad broke David and he’s not the same person. The paparazzi are stalking Jack too wanting to know if he’s had a chance to talk to his “father-in-law”. A paparazzi asks him if he thinks David blames him for “Amanda’s” death and for not protecting his daughter and he snaps and kicks them off of his property.

Margaux is trying to get in contact with Victoria so that she can get the first official interview for her magazine and uses the “we are family” line to convince her to call her back. Daniel tries to convince Margaux that Victoria isn’t going to call her back and she should probably not get involved. She tells him that he should tell his side of the story but he doesn’t want to live his life in the headlines again and tells her that he’ll talk in his own time.

David and Victoria return to their hotel and Emily is lurking in the crowd, out of nowhere someone comes speeding down the street to plow him down but he barely jumps out of the way. Victoria thinks that they should go to her friend’s estate in Maryland where it will be more safe but David doesn’t want to leave because he doesn’t believe that the information surrounding his daughter’s death adds up. He tells her that he’s going to find out what really happened to his daughter.

Emily is convinced that Victoria is behind trying to get David ran over to scare him and draw a further wedge between her getting to her father. Nolan tells her that Victoria is gunning for her and has thought it through, so she needs to slow down and think it through too. Emily tells him that she never visited her father in prison and he believed all of that time that she hated him so she’s not backing down. Nolan agrees but tells her that Victoria has done everything to make sure that only family is allowed through the hotel and at the moment Emily doesn’t qualify.

Jack gets sent home from work by the chief because of everything going on with David. He tells him to lay low until everything blows over. Ben tells him that he saw what happened with the reporters at his house. He asks him how he made it through his brother and then Amanda dying and Jack tells him that he almost didn’t until he realized that Conrad was behind it. Ben believes that it’s strange that no one is looking into Conrad’s death but Jack believes everyone sees it for what it is, justice.

Daniel meets Louise Ellis at a dress shop for “business”. She again pries into his relationship with Victoria and why they’re on the outs. He tells her that she’s a control freak, including with his love life. If she wants Victoria’s attention, date him. She asks him if her flirtation is being wasted on him and if he has someone else… of course he lies and tells her that he doesn’t.

Charlotte returns to their hotel to find Emily in the lobby. She wants Charlotte to help her, that she wants to see her father alone. Charlotte tells her that she’s not going to path the way for her triumphant return so Emily asks her if she really wants to side with Victoria. She asks her who she believes was behind the attack on David and Charlotte refuses to believe it was Victoria, she tells her that she loves him and would never hurt him. Emily tells her that they both know Victoria would do whatever it takes to get her way and that she’s manipulative. She even highlights that she took David to what was supposed to be her grave. She tells Charlotte that they have to stop her and she only wants to tell him the truth.

Charlotte confronts Victoria and asks if she was behind his attack. She asks her why she took him to that grave and she tells her that it was what David wanted it and it’s hard sitting by not telling him the truth. Charlotte asks why she can’t just tell the truth since that’s what Emily wants to do. Victoria tells her that Emily is manipulating her and even tosses in that Declan would be alive for further emphasis. David returns and Charlotte runs to him, he asks if everything is alright and she tells him that there’s someone he needs to meet.

Nolan and Jack have drinks to get out their feelings about David’s return. Jack doesn’t want to meet him because he doesn’t want him to know that Carl is not really his grandson while Nolan is having mixed feelings because he was like a father to him.

Emily is still at the hotel when she sees Margaux slip a bellboy bribe money to get information about David’s whereabouts. Emily confronts her and Margaux asks why she’s even there. Emily tells her she’s there for Amanda and Margaux tells her she needs to watch her feelings because it’s not a great color on her.

Emily gets a text from Charlotte telling her to come up to the hotel room. She goes and finds out that the text was really from Victoria. She demands to know where her father is but Victoria tells her to consider how her father would feel if he knew about everyone she killed in his name. She tells her that her father is alive and she must live in the repercussions of what she’s done and Emily tells her that she will too. Victoria tells her to tell him or continue to hide behind Emily Thorne’s identity, either way it will be tremendous fun to watch. Emily tells her that all she sees is a scared woman who’s about to lose the last person she could trick into loving her, to his daughter.

Charlotte takes David to meet Jack, to his utter surprise. Jack tries to tell them that they were just leaving but Charlotte insists that he meets his graddaughter. She gets the wedding album to show him pictures and David thanks him for being an honorable man.

David shows up at Nolan’s house to talk to him. He asks if he gave her the money and Infinity Box and he tells her that he did. He asks why she was living in a bar and Nolan tells him that he may be hearing things about Amanda from people that he trust but he shouldn’t entirely trust those people when he knows deep down what’s true. David tells him that the memory of his daughter his slipping away from him and everything that he’s been hearing isn’t helping. He then hugs Nolan (tear).

Jack goes to talk to Emily and finds her at the beach house. She tells him about her run in with Victoria and that she needs to think things through. She asks him if he thinks David will hate her for everything she’s done. He tells her that’s crazy and that Victoria is just getting in her head. She doesn’t believe she can get to him if Victoria can easily twist the truth. Nolan shows up and tells them that she can’t because he was just with David and he hasn’t given up on his daughter. He tells her that she needs to get David away from Victoria and she decides that she needs to bring him back to a time that Victoria can’t touch.

Emily goes to meet with Margaux and tells her she has a way around Victoria’s media blackout, that she wants to do something for David– something she believes will aide in his recovery. She tells her that her name has to remain out of the story and that Margaux will need to take full credit.

Jack shows up at Charlotte’s apartment to find out why she brought David to his house. She calls him a coward and tells him that he would never expose Emily’s secret. He tells her that she’s worse than Victoria, that she’s like Conrad. She goes to slap him and he grabs her. He tells her that she has to live behind the alcohol and drugs because she can’t live with herself.

Victoria asks David why the police are gone and he tells her that he’s not going to feel like a prisoner anymore. She tells him that it’s not safe and not everyone has his best interest at heart. He tells her that she’s the second person to say that and now he’s questioning who he can and can’t trust. They’re interrupted by Daniel who stops by to personally apologize for what was done to him. He gives him the deed to his beach house, Victoria tells him that she already has a place for them but he tells her that that was his home and that’s what he wants.

David, Victoria and Daniel got to the beach house. Victoria asks how he was able to get the deed since Emily would never sell it to him. He tells her that she didn’t know he was involved. She tells him that she won’t let him use David and he tells her that he figured she’d say that and in walks Margaux with her camera crew. She tells him that she’s there to contain that gossip since she’s someone who can be trusted. Emily and Nolan are watching from the Grayson tower and she tells him that she now knows Margaux can’t fully be trusted since she’s still shacking up with Daniel– she calls them trouble.

After lying and possibly sleeping with Louise Ellis, Daniel returns to his suite to find her there upset that he lied about not having a girlfriend. She asked around about Margaux and found out the truth and he tells her that he’s apart of a team and they work well together so they should just stick to a professional relationship. He puts her on the elevator after she agrees and tells her that she really doesn’t want to be apart of his family anyway. After the doors close she goes psycho and punches that wall before calling Page Six with a story on Daniel Grayson.

Ben has been investigating Conrad’s death with Jack as his suspect, but he finds out that he has a pretty tight alibi. The chief confronts him about opening the case and he tells him that he closed it because he doesn’t have a suspect anymore. The chief asks for the file back and tells him that nothing good comes from digging into that case.

Emily, Nolan and Jack are toasting to David being back in the beach house. She reveals that she’s going to wait to tell him the truth when he’s ready, that she’ll win him back with the truth and knowing that she’s still there. They hear music coming from the beach house and it’s David listening to the song that they used to dance to when she was little.

We end with a voiceover… like an actual voiceover and it’s from David declaring to seek revenge for his daughter Amanda who was wronged by someone he trusted.

Some takeaways…

– No, no, no! I wanted David to find out that Emily is really Amanda and then they go on revenge together. Now he’s going on his own revenge when his daughter is right next door, but wants to take her sweet time letting him know that she’s still alive. I want to say that his target is Victoria but it could also be Nolan… I’m not quite sure. Either way, Emily needs to fix this shit.

– I’m OVER Louise Ellis. Her storyline is not interesting and it’s really not needed with everything else that’s going on in the show. Please get rid of her… like soon. It’s unnecessary and downright desperate. All of this because she wants Victoria to be her “mommy”? The same Victoria who broke out of the crazy house and left her there… mkay.

– Still not a fan of Margaux or Margaux with Daniel. Hopefully that line Emily threw out about them being dangerous will spark something and we can hopefully take Margaux out and have her gone for good? I did see that she’s on the cast page on the show’s website which means she’ll be sticking around for a little bit which I’m not okay with.

– Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte… I just feel like maybe I should just not even talk about or get upset with her antics anymore. The girl is cray. We see her get into the car with the same guy who tried to mow her father down, so we’ll see where that leads to. She should’ve been put in an institution a long time ago. I’m over drunk, dumb and delusional Charlotte. Can we get back nice Charlotte who was a great aunt to Carl and a decent girlfriend to Declan? I’m just 100% over her and her woe is me attitude.

– I’m kind of getting bored with Ben as well. Not quite sure what his purpose is. I thought he was brought in to be a romantic storyline for Emily, but I don’t see that happening ever. Now he’s poking around in Conrad’s case, like can we get him a decent storyline or cut him out of the sow altogether… another unnecessary character.

-I’m not going to lie, I really don’t want to see David go after whoever he’s going after for revenge to avenge his daughter’s death. I’m going to keep saying this until it happens, but this for sure needs to be the final season. Like please don’t drag this shit out for another season. They honestly didn’t need an entire season, because I’m trying to rack my brain to figure out what direction they could go. There aren’t that many GOOD choices, so yea, wrap this ish up by May.
