Fall is my favorite season so of course I wanted to take ModCloth’s challenge. ModCloth wanted to see how I choose the perfect Autumn look using my best layering technique. For me, it’s all about sleek layers that I can easily take off.

My layering go-to is definitely a long, thick cardigan which is totally perfect for the Bay Area’s fall weather. I’m obsessed with these shawl or cape-like sweaters that I can easily throw on or off. They’re great for a workday when the office temperature fluctuates.

I’d layer it with a printed top and skinny leg pants. I also like to layer with open front cardigans because it doesn’t make my outfit look bulky. I would pair this sweater with a high waisted pencil skirt and a button front blouse.

As for accessories, a long or subtle statement necklace and two t0 three bracelets with a pair of booties complete the look!
