SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)

So about this episode… this is probably the most I have every written in the takeaways in regards to what I’m disappointed about. I just can’t… check out the recap below!

revenge disclosure emily vancamp josh bowman
We open with Victoria asleep on the couch in Emily’s beach house. She awakes and finds herself face to face with David Clarke. She’s obviously shocked but that quickly turns into a look of love. David wants to know if she was a victim or if she had a hand in helping Conrad. After she doesn’t say anything, he turns to leave but she stops him and tells him she was scared and didn’t have a choice, but she has always regretted that moment. He grabs her as if to caress her but starts choking her and she awakes and we realize it was all a dream. She’s actually in the back of his moving car.

Emily has Victoria’s records at the psychiatric ward. Nolan quickly realizes that Emily is out for more revenge but is totally against it. She wants to find her but Nolan tells her she covered up her tracks well and that if she turns up dead the blame is going to fall on her.

Jack is out with Ben tracking cars and Ben is full of questions about Emily. Ben is trying to dig for more answers but a speeding car goes flying by and they go after it. David arrives to his destination and goes to open the back of the van but Victoria kicks him in the face. She runs out into the street and almost gets hit by a semi truck but David saves her.

Charlotte walks in on Gideon sleeping with another girl and he pretty much acts like a douche. She slaps him and walks out and calls Daniel. She tells him what happened and he asks her about why her rent is late. She tells him that she cashed it and he starts yelling about what he had to do to get the money. His elevator door opens and there is Emily who’s there to scope out the building for a friend(sure she is). They exchange few words and he pretty much tells her that she should disappear like his mother.

Emily is looking for Charlotte and finds her on top of a roof about to jump off. She tries to talk her down but Charlotte is too delusional and is on drugs. Ben comes out of nowhere and pulls her down and Jack appears because someone had called the police about a jumper.

David has taken Victoria to his hideout for some answers, wanting to know if she betrayed him.She tells him that she tried to tell the DA but was intercepted by Conrad and that she only did what should did to protect her children. He tells her he’s not going to hurt her and that he stills loves her.

Ben asks Emily about why she was on the roof and tells her that it seems like she and Charlotte have a lot of history. She tells him that it was a coincidence and she was only there to meet a friend. He says that whatever it is they should be able to fix it and she tells him that Charlotte has him to thank for saving her life.

Jack takes Charlotte to Emily and she tries to resist, but he tells her that Emily is the only one in the world that she’s needs to be listening to right now. Emily tells Charlotte that she’s the one who kidnapped her and that she’s her sister, she’s Amanda Clarke.

We find out that David was indeed stabbed and passed out, but won’t tell Victoria everything just that he woke up and he was out. We also find out that he believes that Amanda was killed on the boat and Victoria lies and tells him that she was. He tells her that he doesn’t want to lose anyone else and he wants to be there for her and Charlotte.

Margeaux and Daniel set Gideon up and makes it look like he was buying drugs from a dealer. A woman shows up during an important meeting with someone in regards to his father’s business and pulls small bags of cocaine from his jacket. Daniel is there with a reporter who sees the entire exchange and leaves to write a story on it.

Emily tells Charlotte everything about what she went through after being taken away and her path of revenge. She shares the Infinity Box with her and tells her she hopes it will show her why she did what she did. Charlotte gets very upset because she thinks that Emily should’ve told her sooner, but she used her to get revenge when what she was fighting for was right in front of her.

At a diner David tells Victoria that he killed Conrad after seeing his confession and hearing the way he talked to Charlotte. Hetells her that he did it for her and that he would do anything for her. Of course her wheels start spinning…

Emily and Nolan have a heart to heart and she tells him that everything she did was for a dead man who will never know what she’s done. She doesn’t believe that Charlotte will ever forgive her but Nolan believes that she will eventually come around.

Gideon confronts Margeaux about working with Daniel to set him up. She tells him that she wasn’t working with Daniel after Gideon tells her that he could do the same thing to her that he did to the red head. Afraid, she calls the guy that Gideon had a meeting with pretty much throwing Daniel under the bus and gets Gideon another meeting.

Jack and Ben are talking after ending their day and he thanks him for saving Charlotte. Ben hints that he might be interested in Emily and Jack tells him that Emily has been through a lot, she recently lost her fiancee and now isn’t the time to try to initiate anything.

Charlotte calls Emily and she meets her at the Stowaway. She tells her that she can’t talk to her without losing her temper so she hands her a notepad with her thoughts and as she’s reading it Charlotte knocks her in the back of the head.

As Gideon is going through customs he gets stopped by a drug sniffing dog and they find cocaine in his bag. He gets arrested and Margeaux, who planted it, smiles at him as he’s taken away. Daniel and Margeaux start talking about Gideon and the power to do things and it quickly turns into a gross makeout session.

David tells Victoria that he wants to meet Charlotte but she tells him that her relationship with Charlotte is ruined because someone had her locked up against her will. David tells her to tell him who it was and she tells him that it’s Emily Thorne (his freaking daughter) and he tells her that he will take care of it. Back at the Stowaway Emily is unconscious on the floor and Charlotte is pouring gasoline everywhere. She sets the entire place on fire and walks out. Someone comes to help her asking if anyone else is in there and she tells him that it’s empty before walking away.

Some takeaways…

– I cannot. I f-n cannot with this season of Revenge. The first season I was obsessed, the second season I was a tad bit confused but I was still on board. The third season was like a roller coaster ride that I hoped ended with a series finale and now I’m just like really? Really, people really? I cannot.

– I do not want to see this whole Daniel and Margeaux gross relationship thing again. I wanted Margeaux to leave last season. Now that her storyline with her brother is wrapped up I guess they want to keep her around by leashing her with Daniel. I don’t want to see it.

– Victoria has always been a bitch but the past episode she can never be redeemed from… like ever. You’re a mother but you want to turn a father on his own daughter and convince him to kill her without telling him that she’s his daughter. Who does that?? I think this was the most that I cursed at the screen because it’s just unnecessary. Once David finds out that Emily is his daughter and that Victoria knew that she was his daughter, what does she think he’s going to do? He’s going to kill her.

– Charlotte is nuts. She has been the most flippant character of the entire series. She’s had every storyline imaginable and now we’re going to add murderer to her repertoire… She has been asking for answers for three seasons and when she finally gets some she tries to murder her sister. It’s like she goes from one extreme to another. I. CAN. NOT. So what was the point of trying to kill Emily, because it’s only episode two so we know she doesn’t die in the fire…

– Either way you look at it the biggest victim in this entire series is Emily. You can agree with me or not but either way you spin it she comes out losing. She has her father ripped from her at a young age which creates all of these psychological issues that she takes into adulthood. She goes after a family for revenge and throughout that journey has to deal with the repercussions and fallout from her closest friends. She loses her fiance, she finally gets her revenge but can’t live a normal life because she’s pretty much screwed up and when she finally decides to come clean to the only family member she believes she has her sister tries to murder her… oh yea, and her father is still alive but believes that she’s dead and crazy woman Victoria just convinced her father to kill her… I. CAN. NOT. I so want this to be the final season. But hey, maybe this rant was for nothing and the writers will prove me wrong… we still have an entire season left.
