To continue adding to the Decoded series I wanted to spend this post talking about my new favorite exercise (at least for the summer) Pilates. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve done it before but with all of the outdoor fitness activities this just seems to be sticking this season, along with yoga.

There are many benefits to doing Pilates like doing it without your shoes because who needs stuff gym shoes… Other benefits include improved core strength and stability, improved posture and balance, improved flexibility and prevention and treatment of back pain. Trust me when I say, if done to your best ability you will feel the burn the next day. While this exercise may be challenging, it’s still gentle on the body and is perfect for the beginner or the enthusiast.
