SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)

So let’s talk about last night’s episode of Revenge shall we? I thought this was a really great episode and I felt some of my excitement for why I loved this show returning.

We open with a family breakfast where Conrad reveals that he’s closing a deal to sell Grayson Manor and no one, particularly Emily, is happy about that. She and Aiden work to come up with a plan to stop the sale since it would interfere with her big plan that’s to take place during her and Daniel’s wedding.

Nolan and Patrick are enthralled in an affair and Emily finds out. She tells Nolan to be rational and that it’s not a good idea, also telling him that Patrick is the one who tried to kill Conrad. Charlotte has turned into Mini Victoria; I’m still not here for the direction of her character this season. She sets Daniel up to run into Sarah, his ex who he got into an accident with where she was badly injured.

Sarah goes off on him because she assumes he knew about her financial situation following the accident; he didn’t and goes and reviews the settlement documents. Charlotte calls anonymously to her place of work and gets Sarah fired. She then hires her to work at the renovated Stowaway. She convinces Daniel to talk to Sarah and tell her how he really feels. He does and they hash it out which only means trouble from this reunion in future episodes (starting next week).

Emily has Aiden destroy part of her home’s foundation and has a construction crew come to fix it. The real estate agent working with Conrad sees this and confronts Emily. Emily tells her about the beach’s corrosion problem and the agent goes to Conrad and accuses him of fraud while revoking the deal to sell Grayson Manor.

Nolan and Jack have a heart to heart about Patrick and Emily, and Nolan reveals that he knew who Emily really was from the beginning. After a little tension, Jack tells him that they’re still friends and that he has a way to get rid of Patrick. He goes to Conrad and tells him that Patrick is the one who tried to kill him, not Charlotte.

Emily shows up at Nolan’s house and Nolan goes off telling her everything he told Jack and how all he wanted was a friend, not to go on this drawn out revenge mission.

Victoria tells Conrad she’s leaving him since he has nothing of interest for her anymore (you know since the property that Grayson Manor sits on is worthless). Aiden leads Victoria to a storage unit filled with gold bars (the Graysons lost fortune) which Emily and company planted there to make it seem like Conrad was had been hiding it all of the time. Victoria confronts Conrad and threatens to take everything, but he pulls one over on her telling her he knows Patrick tried to kill him and had men going to retrieve him. Victoria meets Patrick and sends him away and tells a tearful Patrick she’ll send for him when it’s safe for him to return.

We end with a somewhat shocking revelation from Emily, although I kind of saw this coming because there was no way I believed Emily would really die in 5 weeks. She goes to Nolan’s house where he and Jack are having a guy’s night and tells them that they’re the two most important men in her life, which is why she has to tell them her plan for her wedding. This plan will mean she’ll have to disappear from not just the Hamptons, but from their lives for good. She plans to set Victoria up for the murder of Emily Thorne.

Some takeaways…

– I already mentioned this, but I AM NOT HERE FOR CHARLOTTE THIS SEASON. I am done with her and her unwanted dramatics and meddling.

– I’m glad that Patrick is gone, at least for now. He clearly had misguided mommy issues and it was hard for me to be all team Nolan and Patrick.

– I don’t like that they’ve dragged Sarah back from the past. All this time and she’s been working right across the street from the Stowaway… you need more people. And I’m not here for the direction that they plan to take her in regards to Daniel.

– Now that my suspicions about Emily’s “death” have been confirmed I’m even more anxious to see how this all plays out and how it effects the rest of the season.
