Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is wrapping up which means it’s about that time for a NYFW wrap up! This season we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of talking about my favorite collections I wanted to do sort of a Spring 2014 trend forecast.

From many of the collections it looks like winter is going to flow right into spring effortlessly. Check out three trends to watch below!

Black & White

It looks like black and white is here to stay. A classic combo, it was scattered throughout every collection that I took a look at. So don’t get rid of all of your pieces from this season because you’ll definitely be able to rock it next spring!

Navy & Dark Blues

While navy and dark blues remind me of fall, a lot of designers used these hues in their collections. It looked flirty and spring appropriate thanks to romantic silhouettes.

Soft, Sherbet Colors

Of course it’s not spring without a little color. While I did spot some bold hues, many designers kept it mellow using soft, sherbet tones. The standout color seems to be chartreuse and I can definitely work with that!

Of course there were gorgeous prints that screamed warm weather wear (that we’re still mixing) and I even saw pops of metallic throughout a lot of the collections. It seems like the 90s are still trying to make a comeback as seen in some collections, but I also spotted flirty, romantic silhouettes that I’m definitely excited. So those are the standout things I’ve seen so far. What trends did you spot? Comment and let me know what trends you spotted below or tweet me in the sidebar!
